Oh! What about advanced tech? I have a character who has been "Cured" with technology that made her functionally immortal and makes her heal ludicrously fast. (Me from Doctor Who). I have another who has learned to use advanced tech to replicate the effects of magic. (CRAU Aqua who made a nanobot Keyblade.)

Oh sorry, another question (SORRY!!!!) I have a character who is from a non-human race (Fincaryian, though she actually has a human mother) which means pointed ears and depending on canon point, wings potentially. These are natural to her race (The wings were taken away by a God for generations but restored as of one of the canon points I was considering.) Would she still be Fincaryian? And if so, would she have the wings?

That same character, her name is Rhianon, can speak to trees and animals, however it is NOT a magical ability. She was raised in a magical forest and because the trees were more aware and the animals more sentient, they were able to TEACH her their languages. She learned not because of inherent magic (as far as the series explains) but hard work and being actively and openly interested in learning. She is even able to teach other people to do it, and it is a skill anyone who spends enough time LISTENING to the forest can learn there. But she is able to talk to trees and animals outside the forest, because the languages are the same, even if the conversation is... less.. because they're less awake/aware.

Would she lose her knowledge of how to speak and listen to the creatures and trees?
