Hiya! Couple of quick questions for you lovely mods.

First, do the inventory items need to be actually on the character's person at the time of their canon point, or can they just be useful/meaningful items that belong to them? One of the characters I'm considering (not this one) would be coming from prison, sorta, so the answer here would drastically change what he could bring with him :3

Second, for the familiar, if my character's canon has a very, uh, unusual "magical" animal that technically doesn't have much in the way of powers, but which would by very super meaningful for the character to bond with... would that familiar just be stuck with no powers, really? Or would we have leeway to add some (thematic) abilities in order for the spirit to protect their bonded person to some extent? (Specifically, in this canon, butterflies are shown as messengers from the patron deity to the royal family, but they're not shown to be super powerful magical butterflies really.)
