Hey, mods! A quick question about jobs and the types of employment that characters can seek in the Camelot setting —
Obviously Camelot has King Arthur and the knights/lords system, but I'm wondering if there are lower-level employment opportunities in public service, too? I'm thinking like local administrators, dispute arbiters, the kind of mundane everyday thing that presumably would be too minor to warrant the attention of the king or someone higher up the chain.
Basically, is it okay to assume that there are jobs in the public sector as well as in the private one? Edgeworth was a prosecutor back home but I was thinking it'd be hilarious to get him a job in like, INCREDIBLY mundane dispute resolution. Like Judge Judy except stupider.
Is something like that possible, or would that not fit with Avalon's framework?
