⦿ Elphame Traders

Most items listed will remain the same, but there will be 2-3 rewards each month that are only available in the month they are posted. In-game, a shop that appears empty the rest of the month will be populated by items from fae traders from Elphame. Different NPC traders will come each month as part of their duties to the kingdom of Elphame. If you want your character to end up with something ICly that they would not purchase OOCly, feel free to assume one of the fae sneaked it into their pockets or another shopper bought it for them while they were browsing. They're pretty tricksy sometimes!

⦿ Instructions

Players are responsible for tracking their own threads. Threads may only be redeemed once. Any thread may be redeemed as AC bonus provided that it is of AC length, however AC bonus cannot be a thread submitted for the activity check in any month.

1. If this is you first time replying please make a new top comment with your player name in the subject.
2. Create a new comment under your top level for each character.

Item Types:

Recipes

Recipes are instructions to make magical items your character can use in-game. Once the character buys the recipe once, they will be able to make and use that item at any point in the game by finding and creating the item on their own. Note that recipes are protected by a special spell when purchased from the Elphame Traders that prevents them from being shared with other characters. Can't have one person buy it and share with everyone else and cut into their profits!

Spells

Spells are types of magic that may not fit into currently existing categories, meet a combination of magical type requirements, or are forms of spells that can be used out-of-class. If a spell type is bound to a specific type of mage, it will be noted in the description. Spells are single-use casts and must be recast after the spell expires every time. They cannot create permanent effects unless there are specified conditions to bolster the effects available. Note that spells from the Traders have a secrecy spell on them, so they cannot be retaught to other characters in the game who did not purchase them from rewards.

Items

Physical objects that may have some magical significance. Many can be reused. If they have limited use, it will be noted in the description. Single-use items can be created and given as gifts.

Potions

Magical concoctions that must be consumed to activate effects. Potions purchased can be used to count toward the minimum brewers amount (10 potions unless you are an alchemist) and can be replicated after purchase only by the alchemist class.

Totems

Totems are special one-use items. In order to use, the totem must be burned. When burned, it will release a large amount of smoke. Walk through it and you will emerge next to a statue encrusted with magic crystals that act as beacons for that particular totem. If your character uses the totems, characters may walk through with them at the time of use. (So if y'all want to go on a vacation to Red Springs together, go for it.) The magic will last for a small handful of people, so long as they all go through at about the same time.
