How will characters who are dead in their canon be handled? This goes both for "normally a living being but with a canon point after their death" and "my character is a ghost/zombie/lich/spirit and interacts with living people as such." For CRAUs what sorts of physical and ability-related changes obtained in a character's previous game(s) are allowed to carry over?
...what would happen if a character was non-human such as an AI, would they find themselves in a real body here?I've got a question regarding CRAU: What if they have CRAU memories from two games? Would those sort of CRAU characters be allowed? I have a character who is from a non-human race ...which means pointed ears and depending on canon point, wings potentially. These are natural to her race...Would she still be [that race]? And if so, would she have the wings? Would [Camelot] have a big theatre for live performances such as opera or stage plays? If so, would it be indoors with the usual nature mixed in, or outdoors? And would it be located closer towards the center of the city, or what would its general location be?...Does Camelot have any movie theaters? Any equivalent to TV and the like? I'm wondering if there are lower-level employment opportunities in public service, too? I'm thinking like local administrators, dispute arbiters, the kind of mundane everyday thing that presumably would be too minor to warrant the attention of the king or someone higher up the chain. I wanted to ask if the Lake was an okay fishing spot, or if there are other ones? If there are other ones, would fishing IN that Lake piss off the Lady and would that perhaps result in a variety of short-term curse? My guy is a vampire and needs to drink fresh human blood to keep from going bananas. He also burns in sunlight. I understand all his cool abilities will be gone, but how will those other things be handled in the world of Avalon since they're not really powers but conditions of being a vampire? ..how do [the natives] act/react around visibly older (60+) characters. How easy would it be to come by ammo? Likewise his sword has a fuel injection mechanism...if he wanted to refuel it, he'd similarly need to use AC rewards? What is the age limit for employment?....Also, what the npc Archimedes would say to that suggestion?...what kind of jobs are available right now outside of the cafes? Does Camelot have blacksmiths...and could one without any actual experience apply for an apprenticeship? And maybe forge their own weapon, eventually... When characters post to AOL, are they on the same posting network as regular townsfolk? And/or is there a specific "summoned heroes only" forum thing going on? For underage characters, are there options to attend school? What would characters expect to learn? Is it free, or do they get any kind of financial assistance? When it comes to music or just content in general that's available online, are characters able to access media from their own homes in Avalon? Would all player characters be told about how to revive dead individuals if asked? Does this work on generic NPCs as well? If they're not aware/told pre-emptively that they must go to Morgana, who could they expect to hear the information from? [My character] canonly knows how to make some herbal medicine (things like calming herb blends, simple prescriptions for common, mild illnesses like colds, painkillers, etc.), how likely is he to be able to find similar plants/ingredients here? Teaching jobs: are those allowed? I just wanted to ask about what the rules would be for a character who, as a 'living doll', has no need for basic human sustenance such as food, drink and sleep.... I’m thinking of apping walks with the assistance of a cane. Would the setting heal that or would it be at my discretion? [My character] comes from a vn with multiple routes, a sequel game and no wiki or story summaries. When writing up the canon info should I just stick to the story basics plus what’s relevant to the character? ...do ghosts exist? Whether they do or they don't, are there any notable haunted places where a character may be directed to or warned away from if they ask about? If ghosts DO exist, is it possible for a character with the Cognitive magic to communicate/use their magic on them like other people? ...in Nikolai's last game...I was able to name him what I wanted, given you can literally name the rival anything in the...games....Would I still be able to do that? Stella's been noodling about with the idea of making a sort of club or group for all the performers that keep turning...and...looking into places they can meet, performance and rehearsal spaces, studios to record music if folks want to go for that, etc. Are these the sorts of thing she'd be able to find in the city? If so, would they need money to access? Would bicycles be something that exist in the setting? ...if a character completes enough quests to qualify for a title, but they’re ICly not interested in/don’t think they’re worth the title/seriously this person is ridiculously shady why would you ever trust them, how would that be handled? Let's say a character is under a curse or other effect that forcibly changes their form...If apped the curse would obviously be nullified, but would the character's pull point decide which form they were stuck in while in the game? Suppose a robot were powered by an engine that generates ether, aka "energy field that basically is magic". The engine would continue to function in Avalon, I expect, since that's a need to function, but am I correct in thinking other physical, engine-powered abilities of that robot such as flight, extreme strength, etc. would no longer function? Does the network provide a text-to-speech translation because this guy can't read much of anything (it's unclear in series how much he actually knows). Do characters have access to a map of the island, or even a map of the city itself? ...are the doorways/etc. around Camelot built to accommodate someone who is over seven feet tall? So I have a character in mind that is a merjelly and as such needs to be in water to breathe. Aside from general Arthurian myths, is there anything on the world's history in the years after Arthur's passing? How was Camelot governed in his absence, and what kind of political structure does it have? What are/were relations like with neighbouring leaders?
Since religion is also very influential in Claude's own world, is there much to say about faith or spirituality in Avalon? Are residents bound to find all kinds of different styles of clothes available for purchase in the city? I know the architecture is modern-naturalistic, so I was wondering if styles and restrictions would also be modern, or if residents could find things similar to their own worlds/time periods. Can I have a quick rundown of art in Avalon? What styles, themes, subjects, mediums etc are popular or were historically popular? Does fae art differ much in that regard? Does magic play a major role in creating art? So know in the premise we're given specific info about the Knights of the New World and what they did to blow up the multiverse, but how much of that is actually known and- more importantly- shared by Archimedes, otherworlders, basically whomever's giving or getting the arrival spiel? As of the present time, if one researched within Camelot and the Archivist's collections on the Land of Rot, what sort of creatures could they find information on? Will Kaoru be able to hook his AI system up to his phone / the AOL network without using Technomancy, or will he have to wait until he's mastered the magic to get that perk? How does one charge electrical items from home? Can characters have more than one AOL account? What would happen if a Death Mage (who is also a serial killer) decided to live for a while at Loch Manor? The character I'm looking at is an egg layer who can create others of her species asexually. ...are there any job opportunities here that lets you work from home? and how much would they pay, if so? ...are there any places in the city that are... maybe not shady, but close to? So Yuber has been sniffing around the criminal element for a long time and killing people sometimes and he's started actually reading things. He wants to learn more about the Knights of the New World, what might he be able to find (if anything)? ...if a character's biology allows them to grow/retract their claws, would that be allowed as a natural thing or would it be considered an ability? I was wondering how often [dragon slaying] happens and if I need special permission or plot for a character to go out hunting one. Or if characters are free to go ham/say that there's one that's been bothering a group of farmers or something. ...is there a chance for the character to change their looks (ie. dye their hair, get some makeup, getting vision correction, etc,) in Camelot?

Some characters are canonically stated to either not be able to use magic or using magic is dangerous for their health...How will characters such as these be handled if accepted into the game, and what would the IC explanation for its resolution be? One of my favorites to play is from a canon where it is very VERY hard to tell what of what she does is a "power" and what is biological. How is something like that handled? [My character] can speak to trees and animals, however it is NOT a magical ability...they were able to TEACH her their languages. She learned not because of inherent magic (as far as the series explains) but hard work. She is even able to teach other people to do it, and it is a skill anyone who spends enough time LISTENING to the forest can learn there...Would she lose her knowledge of how to speak and listen to the creatures and trees? Follow Up: If an animal from [canon] comes with her, will she be able to talk to her? Should I use [the canon] design for his familiar or would it be okay to pick any generic design? Just to clarify about non-familiar magic: if we wanted to be involved with, say, the potion-making stuff, would that replace or be in addition to a choice from the list of familiar-based magic? How much can Healing Magic increase a person's physical abilities? (Looking at physical enhancement magic) Does having Elemental Magic mean access to all listed elements, or just one? In either case, could wind/air magic be used to make certain objects lighter or increase the force behind them? ...in the case of characters whose canonical powers are very similar to the powers available to learn in Avalon...how would that play into their efforts to learn magic in Avalon? If they pursued a similar school of magic to their canon abilities, would they have an easier or harder time of it? What are the restrictions when it comes to animal transformation? Are characters limited by what's available in Avalon (since I saw in the bestiary that there's currently no lions, tigers, or bears, etc.)? Or can they transform as long as they have a clear idea of the animal they wish to change into? So long as they aren't game-breaking. What is the extent of [Cognitive Magic]? Can a person do damage with it?
Also, dream walkers- do they only visit people's dreams, or are they capable to shape them as they will?...I'm wondering about the upper limits of [Alchemy Magic] (or if there's any uses of it that're flat out illegal)....I'd assume something like the Philosopher's Stone would be downright legendary and generally unobtainable, but what about a simpler thing - like creating gold? Is that possible at all? If it's possible, is it even legal...? ...is there an existing alchemical circle system in use in Avalon or can characters use more familiar symbols from home to activate magic? Is it possible to conduct a transmutation remotely without a familiar already learning a circle and using it? ...Is the shape or design of the final product dictated by what's written into the circle or is that purely on the part of the alchemist? ...is it possible to work with a projection of a circle (in shadow or light), or even something more esoteric like arranging loose objects to form it? Or must they absolutely be etched and/or drawn somehow? I had a question regarding magic/innate abilities....canonically she can talk to animals...and it just "is" rather than a form of magic....She also has the whole "otherworldly singing voice" thing going for her that summons animals to her.... I just wanted to know if those would be taken away or not. ...do our characters in-universe choose which types of magic they'd like to learn...? ...would healing magic also include spells like protections from other kinds of magic/protection in general, or is it limited just to healing after you've already been hurt? And can you use it on yourself, or just on others? [She] has what she calls an "allergy to magic"....Would she still have the magical allergy? ...her powers come from those marks. Would she still have them? Can the hypnosis part of [Cognitive Magic] be used on animals? Building on that: how does hypnosis itself work? Do cognitive magic users essentially speak into someone's mind, sounding like their inner voice or something? Or is it more subtle? Do corpses count as "items" when it comes to post-cognition? It makes sense that the power wouldn't work on living people, but like. Can we find out how someone was killed by touching their dead body, for example. In regards to characters who have “abilities” due to their physiology (i.e. super strength, speed, etc.) rather than any kind of external attribute, would these traits still be null and void upon arrival to the game? Or would they continue to retain them? Would [my character] be able to change forms given the ability is granted by technology rather than by magic? Say, aahhhh, what are your thoughts on hammerspace use as a magical ability? Pants of Holding as a magical item, orrrrr kinetic magic, maybe? ...how fast can the magic of this world be learned? If a character has light magic, are they able to permanently or semi-permanently infuse items with their magic, even if the user of the light magic is no longer near the item? and what about something that is one use? With animal magic, is it possible to partially transform, like give yourself ears to hear something and transform back? I assume that if it was, it would require high skill to do so? For cognitive magic, you mention post-cognition, but what about pre-cognition? So this dude...is a chimera.... This physically changed his body in a lot of ways...I'm a little unsure about how his more physical features are going to work...I was just rolling with the assumption that his body is just back to normal human meat in terms of durability, like he won't be able to deflect bullets and swords with his skin anymore. Does that sound about right, or would he retain some sort of enhanced durability? Does healing magic work on things like plants? Obviously not bringing them back from the dead but healing small damages like frostbite or bent branches, etc. ...are alchemists able to take living beings (human and/or animal or otherwise) and use the 'raw material' of their bodies in their alchemy? and What happens if the dead body is raised by a user of death magic? Question regarding light magic...With enough practice/training would a character be able to form more complicated hard light constructs with an offensive application? hello mods! a question about healing magic: can it remove scars off of someone's body? What would happen if someone tried to use magic on another person's familiar? For example, trying to pull the familiar toward them with kinetic magic. For animal magic, what kind of benefits would partial transformations give? Outside of, say, better hearing with animal ears and a tail. ...for Healing Magic... what does 'protective magic' mean exactly? Would animal magic allow an animal character to assume a human shape? ...what are some ways for a person who uses Healing Magic to, well, practice it? Outside of finding people with injuries, would the various magic teachers have ways for them to practice? There was a mention already in the questions that characters can start out with small animals, but are they limited to the size of the creature in the real world, or could they, later on, turn into a turkey that's the size of a horse or a lion the size of a mouse? Can the half-forms allow characters to grow wings to be able to fly? Would turning into specific animal give them access to their natural abilities? (example, turning into a poisonous snake would give them a dangerous bite, a cheetah means they could run fast, etc) Is it possible to turn into animal chimeras if their abilities are well developed? ...in some Eastern philosophies Metal is considered an element, as is Wood. Would either of those be accessible with Elemental magic? Is it possible for someone to ICly twist their given school of magic through in game means? My character here is blind in canon. I was wondering if avalon magic and healing is advanced enough to restore his eyesight upon arrival? He doesn't physically has eyeballs since he sacrificed them away to save a friend's life three years ago before his death, so he has been blind for many years at the taken canon point. Can the ability to sense blood be able to be refined to being able to recognize when that blood belongs to someone they're close with? Can healing magic help with bloodloss? I know it still exhausts magic but magic exhaustion is less likely to cause shock...I mean unless it does. Also, if he manages to keep a bit of his blood on hand in a container could he do his own blood transfusion? Would he need tools for that or can he just move the blood? And, completely not useful right now but if a year later he learns how to use the magic they used to purify the hay can it be used on blood that's gone bad for the purposes of transfusions? ...would kinetic magic be capable of other things that defy gravity? For example, could someone do Spiderman's cling to a wall and climb it deal or something similar if they wanted? With some practice would it be doable to combine elemental + kinetic to pull off a barrier? Or is a barrier only doable with light magic?...And last question, is the teleportation that is doable with kinetic magic the sort that you phase a short distance...or can teleport to any place the user is familiar with once they have a solid mastery of the magic? Would someone enhancing their sense of taste/smell/sight beyond human capability be something that's limited to Animal magic, or could it fall under other categories like Cognitive magic (from brain interpreting sensory input)? Could someone theoretically combine Light magic and Technomancy to create hologrammatic tech displays? Does Avalon follow A star constellation of any sort? Or is it that the constellations are never the same since this is a multiworld/panfandom story? If it is the same - is it Earths constellation? Or do you guys have your own understanding/exploration of what you want out of Avalons Stars? Fortune telling - is there fortune telling magic? Not CLAIREVOYANCE, the ability to see the future. Just merely the ability to read life, like palm reading or tarot card reading - again just astrology. I have a question about in-game-built prosthetics....which magics would be required to make it function like an arm and hand, and approximately how much time and magical labor do you think that'd require? Or would it require some extraordinary magic? When Death Mages possess another character do they retain access to their spell schools or gain the magic of the person they're possessing? Can offensive weapons be created regarding "hard light generation" for Light Magic or is it simply restricted to shields and defenses? Can a character accidentally combine both of their primary and secondary magic in a freak accident when starting off? Can Blood Magic be used to increase one's physical capabilities beyond creating weapons? Like increasing one's stamina temporarily, preventing blood loss by speeding up clotting and changing one's facial appearance temporarily for examples. ...what are the consequences to the death mage's physical and mental health, is there a risk of overdoing it, or of being possessed/corrupted/etc? Are there any important death mages from history and what were they known for?...what's the general attitude towards death magic in this world? I have some questions about the specific limitations of Cognitive Magic...is it possible to remain undetected by the person dreaming while you're invading their dreams? [For hypnotic suggestion] I'd like to know just how long a hypnotic suggestion could be maintained, absolute maximum? Does it require constant use of magic to maintain the hypnosis, or can it be forgotten about until the subject starts to wake from the hypnosis? And to that point, can it be used to hypnotise multiple subjects, and if so, what are the limitations on that?...how long would it take to master hypnotic suggestion to this kind of level? Is it possible to learn magic that would improve/decrease a person's luck? i have a question regarding animal magic, specifically for characters who are 100% a robot. would the animals they transformed into be fully mechanical like themselves, or strictly be organic animals. Would it be possible for an alchemist to create a potion that has a magical effect...and then alchemise that effect into an object they create? In regards to alchemy, would gold and crystal be good magical conductors for other magic like elemental? I'm curious about how Death Magic might apply for enchantments. How would Death Magic interact if one attempted to infuse/enchant weaponry with it? To use some examples, could they turn a normal sword into one capable of exorcising spirits? Could an advanced user stuff a spirit into a weapon (have it possess the weapon) and use that weapon as a vector for aiding said spirit in possessing others? And, I suppose, for those wishing to raise the dead, could they enchant a weapon to do that? What sort of enchantments could they do for others' weapons? I was hoping to have Belgium give it a try on her own and was wondering how successful individual characters would be with it if they should attempt something similar. Either with brewing or cooking. Also also, is it possible to potentially synthesize ingredients using alchemy. So... would anything in particular happen if Caster tried to start a forest fire on the outskirts of Brocéliande or the Dusklight woods? Is there any way for a character to master their primary magic? What steps are required to do so (both IC and OOC) if at all possible? Since a character's secondary magic type is somewhat dependent on them mastering their primary magic does secondary magic progress get staggered, halted or actually reverse if primary magic changes? you mentioned the possibility for a technomancer at home to send stuff to someone on the field. If a technomancer has Kinetic Magic as their primary magic, would they be able to be on the field and summon items from home? Is there any sort of item or modification that could be obtained that would help a character with channeling their magic through a sword or other similar weaponry when hindered by their own lack of ability to do it themselves? ...If a technomancer has Kinetic Magic as their primary magic, would they be able to be on the field and summon items from home? can Death Mages see player-characters who have died? If a character is an animal, do they still need animal magic in order to talk to normal animals?

⦿ Inventory and Items Related
What kinds of items and how much total will characters be able to bring into the game setting upon acceptance? Will technology from the character's canon world or previous game still work? ...do the inventory items need to be actually on the character's person at the time of their canon point, or can they just be useful/meaningful items that belong to them? If the items from home are themselves magical, would that magic work? What about advanced tech? If a character usually has summonable weapons in hammerspace, can those weapons be among their arrival items? I presume they won't have hammerspace/ability to summon them, but if they can find a way to holster them/carry them, can they have them? the coat he wears is meant to protect the wearer from the darkness (among other things) It looks and moves like cloth, wears like armor. Would I be correct in presuming it would just be a normal coat when he arrives? Or would it have some protective capabilities? Or do I have to figure a whole other outfit for him? My character in a possible canon point I have selected for him doesn’t have that much stuff he’s carrying before arriving to Avalon...I am wondering if I can include other things he has owned/kept throughout his canon or just stick with what he has in his possession in the canon point I’m taking him from. For the items they can have with them, do we have to count whatever they are wearing?...And if not, are only the base clothes included in what they arrive in, or like will Kyoko have jewelry she might have been wearing? How individual are things in the counting. Like she has a set of dolls she made herself. Does each doll count as an item? Or do they all collectively count as one? ...what about things that are too big to fit in pockets and/or would be destroyed by hitting the water? ...if I wanted to use an inventory slot for changes of clothing is it one slot per item of clothes...or one slot for one outfit? Or is clothing just a catch all and it is by types? I was wondering if my character can get a cloak that makes one invisible (it’s a family heirloom) and a broomstick as a part of his items. Can they be allowed? I am not even sure if flying broomsticks can be seen as vehicles. Is it possible to have Saber come with her own version of Excalibur, albeit in a depowered state? As in, no game-breaking anti-fortress beams, but still a powerful and beautiful-looking sword? Besides that, am I correct in assuming that armor counts as clothing, and therefore doesn't count towards the inventory slots? Would everything [my character's] wearing as part of her costume count as her basic clothing, or would she need to bring it/bits of it in as part of her inventory? Would it be possible for a character to purchase a recipe, such as a totem recipe, from the traders and then gift the whole recipe to someone else? And would doing so necessitate purchasing it a second time to have for oneself? If a (different) character is normally capable of powered fight via wings (and not native magic), what happens to them? The character I'm thinking of apping has a ghost living in his head who no longer has a body or independent existence. They talk to each other constantly in canon, but there's some overlap in their personalities and they occasionally mentally merge, so the "separate person" line is a little blurry. Would the ghost be allowed if I apped this character, or would he be gone? Since Stella's phone is coming without a charger, will she be able to find one to use for it in Avalon? Failing that, will she be able to back up the files and stuff on her phone so she doesn't have to worry about the battery being kill? ...is the no vehicles rule based on scale/size? In other words, could a tiny character have a vehicle if the vehicle in question was small enough to fit in a kitchen drawer? I read kits with multiple items may not be allowed. Does this include a weapons maintenence kit? Like for example one used to maintain guns and/or blades? Recent canon evidence came about that my character owns [an item]...that function like your typical hang glider or parachute: using them in the air allows you to glide through the air, slowly losing altitude. While it's possible to use them on an updraft to rise up into the air, I figure that wouldn't be possible with Avalon wind magic without a partner and some considerable skill...So my question is, would it possible to get this as a home regain? Since I am potentially going to have Emet sell potions in his future business endeavour, is the potion form on the item page only for those with unique effects? I.e. Paralysis poisons or healing potions are not something that can be created since they'd overlap with Dark magic and Healing magic? The character I reserved is kind of a knife nut and has anywhere from 12-15 regular everyday daggers on her person at all times, plus three sort of "special" daggers. She wears them all the time, including when she sleeps. My question is whether her other knives would be considered part of her clothing or as inventory. ...he has a magitech gun that reloads based on the magic energy inside him. I saw that the rewards page has that so I wanted to check if it would be okay for me to have him bring that or not?

⦿ Familiars and Pets
...if my character's canon has a very, uh, unusual "magical" animal that technically doesn't have much in the way of powers, but which would by very super meaningful for the character to bond with... would that familiar just be stuck with no powers...? Could [my character's] familiar be a "generic" [version] as opposed to the one that shows up to him in game? If my character already has a canonical familiar, what happens here? Would he (the familiar) come in as a pet and she'd have two familiars, one bound to her by her worlds rules and one by Avalon's? Could I create a Dreameater for him to be his familiar? Do they have to be creatures from canon or mythology that already have the type of magic we choose for our character? Say you wanted your character to use healing. Would you have to choose a creature that's known for healing magic already? Although they're not strictly mythological, I was wondering if I could base a familiar off the Chinese mythology surrounding cranes? ...one of her friends was a small annoying creature with a big mouth who lived in her sleeve. He can speak human, but does not have a developed personality beyond being insulting. Would he be able to come as a pet? ...can his familiar be a giant (as in rideable, not more massive than a good sized horse) flying hot pink jackalope? How much freedom do we have when it comes to their designs? Presumably we should at least keep them recognizable as whatever type of familiar they are, but do we have wiggle room outside of that? Does a rideable animal count as a pet or a vehicle? [My canon] has unnatural creatures, none of them are magical/mythological. They're all just ordinary things infected with a horrible bioweapon created by science.... So I've made my choices on my based on standard Earth mythology and was wondering if that was acceptable....I just wanted to check and see if that was alright or if I would be required to pick a canon creature? ...do familiars talk? I wasn't too sure about the difference between a "special being" (which wouldn't be allowed) and general monster types in terms of the familiar you're allowed to app for. Could you clarify a little about what you mean? What's the take on insects or creatures tied to mythological figures but not the figures themselves? Do other people hear what [the familiars are] saying to their chosen ones or nay? [My character] pilots [a giant robot]...I would like to have her here as a pet for Pidge....I'd like to bring Green in as a smaller version of herself while keeping her as a robot, but if you'd want her to become a flesh and blood creature I'd understand. Pokemon count as pets, yes? would they be able to gain levels and evolve like in canon? Would a fox spirit be considered a sacred creature? Is 'this crow I like that spends time around me and we've been buds for like a season, but I don't own it' stretching the definition of pet? Can familiars be spirits that are inanimate but still considered living, such as a nature spirit, or do they have to be monsters/animals of some sort? As a follow up to Nero's thread with Arthur, if he asked the fairy traders for any information on Elphame, would they be willing to share, and if so how much? He'd ask questions like how to get there and about the queen in particular. I was wondering how many pets a character can bring? When it comes to Familiars, would a fairy or another being similar to a fairy be an acceptable familiar? Simply asking since the character for this journal mainly used Fairy monsters. If [familiars are] needed, do they just ... magically pop up next to their bonded character or something and then can disappear away? I understand that familiars cannot be "special" beings but what is considered special in this case? Can they not be specific entities or is it limited to special in the sense that they're characters in their own right? Can a familiar be a creature that came about as a result of magic? And does the character have to be aware that the creature exists? I understand that multiple familiars aren't allowed, but I'm curious as to whether or there's any wriggle room with regards to say...one species of familiar (spider, in this case) that could either: A) Have a single, larger "main" familiar that functions like a normal familiar (powers, etc) and have its own little brood (maybe 10? 5?) of smaller spiders that have basically no familiar powers/attributes...or B) Have several spiders, all of which are Matsunaga's familiar, but their power is split between however many there are, so if one of them were matched against a normal familiar it would be easily fought off, but the whole group together would be capable of matching one in strength via numbers/cooperation. ...can someone have an alien? Can familiars get pregnant?

Just a quick question regarding updates and spoilers! Do you have a wait period for when a character can be applied for after release/story updates? Does the application as it stands now require both a threaded sample and the questionnaire or just one of either? It was a bit unclear to me so I just wanted to double check! Is there an intro post we are supposed to be waiting for? Or just creating new threads off of the TDM prompts? ...are there any threads which are excluded as being viable for activity checks and reward points? I.e. Can we use test drive threads and inbox threads, or must it only be those in the proper log and network communities? Can we app characters from canons that have no official English translation, if there is an unofficial translation that's widely available and reliable in order for canonblind mods to double check characterization claims/etc? ...is there a limit to how many characters a person can reserve per round? ...I am assuming that...if I ever canon updated him, he would not gain any new pokemon? When it comes to Canon Updates, if your character starts out as a teen but an update makes them an adult, is it possible to start with them as a teen and have where their body also 'remembers' when they get the memories for that age? With regards to threads that can be avail for rewards from the Elphame Traders, can they be from any month as long as it is not used for activity check, right? For the rewards page, it states that knighting/ennobling a character (or getting the shopkeep reward) requires that 2 submitted AC rounds must be passed before they can be attained. For clarity, this does not count the AC round of the month a character debuts in, correct? For the canon information section, are you looking more for the specific character's history within the canon or just a general overview of the canon itself? Also, do you want personality worked into that section as well? How much flexibility do players have for defining a character's "personal language" that they hear others speaking in via the translation magic? What if a character wants to speak one of the other languages they know or a language they are learning? Since new players don't have to submit AC for their first month, are all threads started that month applicable towards bonus activity for rewards, or does bonus activity only kick in the second month in the game? For the 10 potion count, does a two potion set such as the 'Vocal Volume & Counter’ reward count as 1 potion or 2? And do all 10 potions have to be unique, or would getting, for instance, 10 individual purchases of a single potion type count? Would the potions all need to be unused, or does it just need to be 10 potions that they have owned at one point...? If a character threads out the same quest with multiple different people - I'm assuming weird time stuff applies to make this possible, but I'm guessing that means they would have 2 different sets of memories about the event IC and be confused by it? Or is it just a case of 'just don't look too closely DWRP is weird like that'? ...can quests that are turned in for AC rewards still count for gaining a title? ...completed quest threads count towards earning titles. However, what happens if the other character you were threading with drops from the game before the whole write-up is finished? Or, in a situation with a similar result, if the other player drops the thread due to circumstances of their own? Rewards threads, do the threads have to be 5 comments from a single month/the month they were started? For rewards that aren't directly tied to activity rewards, like the disco ball for February, do we have to do any sort of formal redemption? Or can we just go ahead and assume it's ours? For general villainy, if a character like this were to make it into the game, what would be the best way to keep mods notified of villainous activity like violence against nameless NPCs? Check in with you beforehand? After? And through what means? ...can characters be canon updated to CRAU status if we happen to change our minds after apping? I know that TDM threads of 5+ comments can be used for AC (both Main and Rewards) but can they still be used if the other character didn't end up apping? I know that some games limit it to only being able to use the threads if both characters end up being in game. ...when a character dies and becomes a spirit it says they are not seen or heard as a ghost. Is that true across the board or would a (still alive) Death Mage be able to see them? Can Death Mages see the ghosts of dead player characters or is it limited to NPCs? Regarding the titles, do they also need to be made official in IC terms, as well? Basically, ICly Geralt would never officially align himself with any particular faction or king, so I was wondering if it would be possible to be less of an "official" title and more of just....a reputation thing? for reward redemptions, do top levels on a log count as one thread regardless of how many actual subthreads you have going there, or does each individual thread count? Same question about network posts: is that one thread or does each thread on that post count? I have a question for characters like Traveler(genshin), Ritsuka/guda(fate), Robin (fire emblem), byleth(fire emblem), and Hakuno(fate). Is there is an apped version of them already in the game, are people allowed to app the other version of them or does that count as multiple of the same person?

⦿ Canon/Character Specific Questions
Am I correct in thinking that Stand abilities from Jojo‘s Bizarre Adventure would be gone once they arrive here?...My understanding is that they would be replaced by one of the magic abilities listed above and if that is the case, would there ever be a way for them to regain their canon abilities...? I'm interested in apping Hythlodaeus from FFXIV here, but he...appears in at least two story cutscenes as a shade summoned by the memory of his best friend Emet-Selch, recognizing the player as their other friend and speaking to them accordingly, as well as offering his views on Emet-Selch's motivation and actions...Would this be enough for him to be appable? I know the rules say all canon powers are nullified, but I'm curious how "talents" would be classified, specifically in regards to how Danganronpa treats talents as this weird middle ground between skill and low-grade super powers. For instance, Gundham Tanaka is portrayed as a sort of animal whisperer, with that tied to his backstory, and years of dedication etc. behind him while characters like Nagito Komaeda is just... supremely lucky, bordering on reality warping at times. I guess my biggest question would be would the talents be treated on a case-by-case basis, or would there need to be a blanket ruling? In Kyoko's canon she has grudge spirits that.... sometimes other people are aware of and sometimes they are not. Sometimes they can affect other people...And sometimes they let Kyoko know when someone os FURIOUS (Ren) even if they are hiding it perfectly. Which leaves me wondering...could Kyoko have a Poltergeist for a familiar? I tried to see if they were based on anything specific in Japanese folklore, but as of this moment could not find anything. So I did a little more research on just how exactly Saber's invisible sword works...it is a specific ability she possesses called "Invisible Air" that allows her to conceal her sword. With Elemental Magic, would it be possible for Saber...to replicate this ability? Quick question regarding Nero's powers: I understand that all canon powers are converted into magic, but I also read that non-humans will remain non-human in the game setting too. How would this affect Nero's Devil Trigger? What about canon AUs that can be seen as canon but maybe not? More specifically, I’m planning on apping Ken from Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. However, that game talks about the male route from Persona 3. I want to rp him from the female route which is a canon AU. There is a category of "creature" in her canon called Shadows. Shadows are largely creatures of pure Shadow magic, which is largely chaos. There are a few different kinds of Shadows. For [her] familiar I was thinking of a brand new hybrid higher Shadow. Not sure yet what his function would have been, but basically a shape shifting familiar that can work across the layers whose main for would probably be a winged humanoid. Would that be acceptable? I should assume most all overwatch gear as game breaking, as there is power armor and rocket hammers involved, but would there also be a nerf for peak human condition. Reinhardt here is a very very large very strong man. Think Worlds Strongest Man competition strong. Is peak human too far? I know you've had a couple of Fate/ weapon questions before but just wanted to check-in on how Caster here's dagger would be affected by potential power nerfing. Toph is blind from birth and uses a sense derived from her earthbending to get around, which are not the typical senses baseline humans have. If I read the elemental magic correctly, it wouldn't necessarily cover this. Am I reading it wrong or do I need to come up with another option (such as her familiar acting as a guide animal)? ...how would lightsabers (or potentially other cut-through-almost-everything weapons) be handled, if allowed? Would they be nerfed to not do that, or only be able to go through certain materials but not others? Kamui here is an alien who, while he appears human, actually has a lot going on inside his body that is very inhuman. Not all of these are clear-cut powers like his super-strength, so I thought I should ask before assuming anything. At the canon point I am considering apping from the Luminary has lost his powers so I thought it would be fun to play with him "regaining" those powers by refilling his empty pool of light with the light magic of Avalon. Canonically in FFXIV, your player character is the Warrior of Light and The Most Important Person Who Has Ever Lived. Is it permissible to use the world building and whatnot to create an original character who's more of an average adventurer, or are we tied to the canon on this one? The shortest version of this: V wasn't stable enough when created to continue to exist, so he made pacts with some nightmares that also were fading away. They're all combined together to make a big magic pool that allows them all to exist, and V fights with them as familiars, and they are the primary source of his magic. Which is relevant in that he is physically different and weakened if they are 'removed' from him....Are their energies pretty much just 'absorbed' into him, just not available as magic any longer? I'd like one as a pet, but they're not exactly distinct physical entities. So they're not exactly that. Thoughts? Demons from the Demon Slayer universe burn to death when exposed to sunlight, so my question was if she is moved to a human baseline in game would she be able to go into the sunlight or would that remain? It was just revealed in canon that the swords Baldr brought with him from home actually have elemental properties to them-- I'm going to assume that's stripped away here and they're just normal swords for all intents and purposes? It's not magic per se, but I figured it was close enough that it would probably fall under that umbrella so I just wanted to be sure! Azul Ashengrotto) is a octopus merman who currently appears human thanks to a potion (or possibly his own magic, canon is not entirely clear there but probably potions). Either way, would he be able to switch between either form at will here, or would he require a potion/spell to do it? And if it's the latter, would he arrive in his human form (which is the form he's spent almost all of current canon in)? [Yuber] has one of the Twenty Seven True Runes. It's not an item, it's more like a magical parasite that latches on to his body and soul. I know that in coming into the game he'll lose the Rune's power but would the Rune itself be stripped from him or rendered dormant? Or is it my choice? I had a question about Ruby and Yang's weapons in this game; would they fall under the purview of magical reload if they brought canisters of dust in along with them as extra items?...Also, what would happen with Yang's robotic arm? Would it stay robotic or would it turn back into a normal arm? In her canon, in order to get access to her full power, she carries a scroll to enable to transform, getting a new outfit and all that. Operates on "ninja magic" but would it still be able to work in this game. This usually enables her to use her techniques, and increase her overall stats. The same thing goes for the nodachi Engetsuka. Would a Pai Sho set count as one item, since it is one game, or would the board count as one and the pieces each count separately? Or is the board just too big in general to count? (also since one specific tile has special meaning outside of the game, I don't know if that is also factor?) If I put down tea as an item (meaning dried tea leaves/dried plant matter - such as an herbal tea which uses less leaf and more fruit) how much would one slot equate to, and would that all have to be the same flavour/type of tea? ...can I ask what the ruling would be on Duel Disks? Eustace is from Granblue Fantasy and they recently released a big event involving him. The official start of the event was February 26, but it runs until March 22nd and had 3 installments released throughout the period. The last one was released today, March 16. Since the scheduling is a bit weird, would post-event be an acceptable canon point for the April application cycle or would it be just outside the month waiting period for new material? Eustace's signature weapon, Flamek Thunder, is...weird since while we know some of the technicalities we don't know all the specifics. His weapon is in a group called Seal Weapons which were created with old moon technology, but it's not necessarily magic....So I'm wondering if its ability to generate electricity through its circuits/mechanisms would be stripped away (or at least nerfed/capped to a degree) or if some aspects of it would remain. How many regains would I need to make to gain [3D maneuver gear] in full? I doubt it can just come as one regain for how big it is. I was wondering if it would be possible for someone like Ahiru from Princess Tutu to fit in game. She is a duck but in the anime she is able to turn into a human and magical girl thanks to a magic pendant. If one of the items is a pendant could she stay in human form or turned into one permanently within game? I have a question about familiars, pets, and the like. Tokoyami's Quirk power is Dark Shadow, and the basics of this power is that it allows him to manifest a sentient shadow monster from his body that he can materialize and contract freely. Dark Shadow is considered an extension of Tokoyami, but he does have some sentience and has his own personality in a sense. If it's possible I would like to bring Dark Shadow with Tokoyami into the game, but I wasn't sure if would Dark Shadow would be possible to qualify as a familiar...or if he would be considered a pet. Would Dark Shadow be allowed as a familiar? So, tl;dr of Sophia is she's an AI who hasn't got a physical form in series (just her Metaverse form). So my thought process on 'how to make this work': She doesn't eat or sleep, but does need to power down occasionally if she does a lot of things/magic/injuries. Basically the difference between human sleep and a computer going into a sleep/hibernation mode. The memory reading/person control from blood magic happens to her from technomancy. As she doesn't have blood. Her cosmetic elements (floating heart hair, emoji mask) since they aren't anything other than cosmetic stay. She's powered down to 'normal human movement abilities' graceful but with the physical strength of a teenager. Are those okay ways to deal with this delightful AI child and her weird as heck canon? I never mentioned it in his app but at current canon point Yuber should have a Lightning and Eight Devil Rune, one in each hand. Would these be gone now since he is in game and they weren't in his app or could they be present since they're really just aesthetics? If he has the Runes, would they be inventory slots? Hello I have a character with two universes/aus, the game itself allows for memories of another universe to exist in another version of themselves...I am wondering two things, can I make it that here he has memories of his Fate/extra self? As a servant serving under Leo despite being from fgo universe? I plan on obtaining the item reclaim reward from the Elphame Traders soon icly because Walter would like his usual wires. I assume they will be nerfed somewhat because of their cutting power (they can go through steel, etc.). They would still have good utility even without that, but I would like to know how much they would be limited so that I don't write something I oughtn't to (i.e., could they still go through bone, or just flesh and cartilage?). He has kinetic magic, so he can manipulate them (although proficiency will take time to develop), and he'll be using the inventory slots item to create a space to store them when they are not in use, because they are quite long... ...are multiple Warrior of Lights from FF14 the MMO. Allowed to be applied into the group? Could Mukuro regain one of the Gungnir Spears? Technically she owned them and had them on her person. Very briefly. After Monokuma stabbed them through her. Mostly because she would be very unhappy with this and I want to traumatise her by having the traders just gleefully hand her one. I was looking over the way that magical items from canon get nerfed, and I was wondering specifically about an item that has multiple magical purposes--in canon, Ritsuka's various outfits allow her access to 3 different spells at a time (which I do assume would be cut off), but also are specifically designed to protect her from the elements and act as an armor to a degree (her current standard uniform is specifically called out as being able to protect her from subzero freezing temperatures, despite the fact that it's short-sleeved and a short skirt lmao). Would it be all right to keep that part of the item's magic, even if she can no longer use the spells associated with it? For a familiar, in the FAQ it says not a specific creature from canon but can you have a general type of it? For example, Grimoire Weiss is a companion (and most likely appable anyway) but could I have a magical tome/grimoire be Kainé's familiar? Or does it also have to be an animal/creature. So like. If in canon Junko is a zombie and that means her arms and head and stuff can just...um. Be pulled off and reattached (because zombie) is it something that can be kept? She's not invulnerable or anything. I assume if someone really tried they could destroy parts of her body but she's canonly able to just...pop her head off then stick it back on afterwards. Usually this is just played for laughs and an inconvenience because she doesn't want her arm coming off while someone is trying to help her up but it's the sort of thing that happens anyway. Is an Amistr allowed for Alashandra's familiar?...how much of her skillset would carry over?
